It is said that when the idol of Shri Adhinath Bhagwan was discovered from under the ground, people around not realizing its significance kept it in an unclean place, Within a week thereafter there were disturbances and loss of peace in the area. People immediately learnt about the sacrilege they had committed and only after repentance when they made proper amends by installing the idol with devotion and enthusiasm to the accompaniment of prayerful music at a more appropriate place, the area once again obtained normality and became quiet. The idol is believed to be a great worker of miracles.
Every year on Karthik Poornima, a festival is held here when thousands of devotees gather to participate in offering prayers and worship.
