The ancient name of this village was Bhojkut Nagar. It is believed that the very ancient idol of Bhagawan Shantinath belongs to the times of Bhagawan Neminath. This tirth was renovated many times. It is believed that the old temple lies buried in the hollow of the ground, in the compound of this temple. Bhils of this region come with faith and devotion to sing the songs of God. Bhagawan Shantinath is known as ‘Kala Baba’ or ‘Bamanadev’. Various miracles happen in this tirth. On one occasion, the nectar continuously oozed out of God’s idol and looked like saffron-coloured milk at the feet of God. Many fortunate devotees took the benefit of this splendid and holy sight. |
