A reference is available which states that this temple was constructed by Sanghavi Sri Mandan and on Ashad Sukla 7 in Vikram year 1187 was ceremonially consecrated by the hands of Bhattarak Acharya Sri Anandsurishvarji. Even today his successors perform the Dhvaja ceremony of the temple sikhar. IN the past, this place appears to have been very prosperous. Every year on Kartik Poornima, and on Bhadrapad Sukla 10 fairs are being held here. The art with which the idol has been made is very attractive and pleasing to the mind. There is no other temple nearby.For lodging there is a dharamshala and guest house with all facilities including a bhojanshala for meals.
