SHRI KATHGOLA TIRTH

History

In the year 1877 A.D. Babu Laxmipathsinh inspired by hismother Mahatabkunvar got this magnificent temple built here. The icon is an ancient one, both eye pleasing and majestic. This is also one of the “Panchtirthi” of Bengal. The architecture of the temple is superb and in the two mile area of the garden, everything that has been built is beautiful. It is really a confluence of art and beauty.In this temple situated opposite a lake, are seen many objects to corroborate the truth stated above. The vivid figures of the guardians at the gate of the innermost temple are almost stunning. The carving in stone is incomparable. When these statues themselves are so impressive, in what words the icon of the Lord can be described? There is no other temple nearby.
